Our steel is more than just a product, it's a promise
Founded in the year 2000 as a manufacturing division of its parent company Shah Hastimal Laxmichand & Company, Shalco Industries has emerged as a leading name in the stainless steel and nickel alloys industry. With a legacy of unmatched quality and unwavering commitment towards meeting the needs and requirements of our customers, we continue to uphold our esteemed reputation while evolving and expanding our offerings.
Our Journey
What inspired us to embark on this journey was the realization of a significant gap in the market. While we excelled in importing nickel alloys and stainless steel pipes and tubes, we observed a reliance on non-recognized manufacturing facilities for customization, leading to inconsistencies and inefficiencies. We aimed to bridge this gap by establishing our manufacturing facilities, eliminating the dependence on imports, and setting new standards of quality and reliability within the industry.
2000
Transitioned from a material stockist to a service provider for polished plates of different grits and finishes with PVC coating.
2008
Shifted focus to manufacturing stainless steel pipes and tubes in welded form.
Leased a place in MIDC Mahad, Raigad, to establish production facilities.
2011
Commenced manufacturing and exporting to European nations, witnessing increased demand.
2012
Invested in adding four pilgers to increase output capacity from 100 tons to 250 tons per month.
2014
Achieved significant milestone of exporting more than 1500 tons per month.
2016
Obtained EIL approval for stainless steel pipes and tubes, securing approval from major Oil and Gas companies like IOCL, BPCL, HPCL, HRRL, Nayara, NRL, ABRPL.
Obtained IBR approval.
2017
Secured first 'U' tube order.
2018
Expanded capacity by adding three more pilgers, increasing seamless capacity to 400 tons per month and welded to 500 tons per month.
2020
Received approval for nickel alloys from EIL, becoming one of the few to obtain such approval.
2022
Upgraded pilger machines to state-of-the-art facilities, increasing capacity from 450 tons to 1000 tons per month for seamless and from 500 tons to 800 tons per month for welded.
Established a new facility for large diameter pipes for stainless steel and nickel alloys, with a capacity of 300 tons per month.
2024
Continuously striving for excellence and growth, with revenue distribution of 65% from stainless steel and 35% from nickel alloys.

Hastelloy C22 welding can be done by gas tungsten-arc, gas metal-arc, and shielded metal-arc processes. Alloy C22 is readily weldable when compared as alloy C22 vs hastelloy C276. The density of hastelloy C22 also plays a major role in its welding.
Vision for the Future
Looking ahead, our vision is ambitious yet clear: to eliminate the need for imports of stainless steel and nickel alloys pipes and tubes from the global market.
