Our Industries

When we say that our steel is more than just a product, it's a promise, we mean that we are committed to providing our customers with not only

Oil & Gas

The oil and gas industry is certainly the most potential sector of the economy which requires a high level of accuracy and maintenance. Applications varying from a power supply to several domestic services depend upon the oil and gas industries. It plays a significant role in the GDP of the economy. Apart from being important in many applications, there are many guidelines and restrictions imposed on the oil and gas industries; environmental safety, human health, and pollution control are the key regulations that these industries need to keep in check. The equipment and its material play a significant role in these industries to ensure the quality of processes, the strength of the components, and to prevent problems like leakage and corrosion.

Stainless steels with the most suitable chemical composition need to be used to avoid any unfavourable outcome. Lately, the pressure and corrosion conditions have just grown severe with the increase in the demand from various sectors. Duplex stainless steel is the most used grade in this sector because of its commendable performance in corrosion resistance in onshore and offshore environments as well as chemically-induced environments. Applications that require strength as well as corrosion resistance has austenitic grades. A thing to note is that oil and gas industries will always maintain their place in the energy supply industry for decades to come and the emergence of newer stainless-steel grades with more precise chemical compositions will be warranted.

Aero Space

inustry

Aerospace construction procedures require the highest level of safety, durability and reliability. Any inappropriate feature found in any of the components cannot be neglected. A very important feature that is required during application is high-temperature properties of the material to be used and oxidation resistance properties in varying conditions. Unpredictable pressure conditions can be expected and the mechanical properties of the components need to be retained.

Stainless steels are specifically used in aerospace applications as engine components, fuel tank components, exhaust components, airframe components, gear assemblies etc. A component as small as a fastener needs to be designed for proper strength and corrosion resistance since there is no room for error in this industry. Austenitic grades like 304, 304L, 310, 316, 316L, 321, 430, 253 MA are widely used in aerospace components. Stability of the selected grade becomes vital and high level of purity in the grain structure is needed.

The aerospace industry has its demand in applications like satellites, commercial aircrafts and even in the defence of the nation. Aerospace industry needs to be in a constant update with manufacturing as well as material quality innovation to provide the highest standard and quality, since a considerable amount of budget is invested in aerospace industry, and quality in material grades cannot be ignored.

Medical & Pharma

When it comes to human health and safety, the facilities provided are of paramount importance. Medical and pharmaceutical industries are given many regulations and guidelines related to the permissible conditions that can be allowed. All the storage should be done abiding by a structural system with utmost sanitary conditions.

The specified temperature for an application needs to be maintained religiously. Apart from general features like corrosion resistance and strength, the material used in the application should have exceptional surface features, high stability and anti-microbial features. Stainless steels are widely used in medical and pharmaceutical industries for equipment like cabinets, storage racks, transportation parts, carts, safety parts and other factory accessories.

The steel used for the said purpose needs to be thermally stable and should constitute the required thermal properties. Any sort of contamination at any stage cannot be overlooked. High level of purity in the grain structure of the steel is expected. Steel belts are often used in conveyor systems in pharmaceutical industries.

The steel selected needs to be adaptable to the condition provided with a high level of cleanliness and stain resistance. Austenitic grades are widely used in medical and pharmaceutical applications, especially grade 304L and 316L. Pharmaceutical and medical industries are certainly the industries where the selection of every factor and component needs to be done meticulously with proper certifications of the grade done for strength, composition and purity.

Nuclear & Power

If there is one industry which is promulgated with vast numbers of safety norms, it must be the nuclear industry. Large quantities of sub products and toxic wastes are being produced in nuclear and power industries every year. The wastes produced can pose a serious threat to the environment and human life alike. Managing and setting precautions for such dangers becomes indispensable.

Stainless steels are widely used in these industries for the purpose that highly uncertain conditions and chemical environments are exposed to the system. Grades with high resistance to corrosion and chemical exposures are required. Nuclear power plants, fuel reprocessing and waste management plants typically use grade 300 and 400 series alloys. After proper selection of the grades, specific modifications are made to the grades and the new and improved compounds are termed as the Nuclear grades. Stainless steels with proper service times are used in the nuclear reactors.

Chemical Process

A lot of emphasis needs to be put in chemical processing industries due to the constant exposure to harmful chemicals as well as direct contact with several chemical components. The effects could be hazardous if there is a slight malfunction in the elements. For chemical processing industries, it is not possible to imagine processes without stainless steel fabricated components. The intensity of the chemical exposure can tremendously vary if the processes and the type of steel are not selected properly.

Chemical industries specifically require materials that provide resistance to corrosion, stress cracking and sensitization. High stability in the microstructure, as well as the thermal stability of the selected grade, is needed. With newer chemical properties, there has been an increase in the use of these compounds. Also, the national safety norms for the chemical industries have become stricter. Due to the constraints put on the process parameters, the functioning of these procedures has become more precise.

Super alloys are widely used in these industries to attain high temperatures and manage the operations. Constant efforts are being made to improve the reliability of the chemical processing industries and more careful and appropriate selections of the material grades are being taken. The expenses incurred in the chemical processes are already high, hence, the grade used in the processes should be cost-efficient at best. With optimum solutions to newer chemical technologies, the expenses of services and maintenance incurred will be to a bare minimum.

High Purity & High Performance

Many manufacturing and processing industries require an exceptionally high level of precision in their techniques and components. A very close level of tolerance is provided in their assemblies to give better precision. These industries demand excellence in purity and performance. A lot of engineering aspects are taken care of at the critical stages of manufacturing the product so that no quality parameter is compromised. For example, a vehicle’s stainless-steel components that are supposed to have a longer life need to be manufactured very precisely, any fault would result in uncalled circumstances like noise, leakages or misalignments.

The company cannot afford to lose their reputation and therefore would make sure to have a high level of purity in the material used, and precision in the manufacturing technique that is used. There are companies that manufacture high performance liquid chromatography columns and regularly require high purity stainless steel components. The purity desired in the material grade can be achieved by a fine and pure microstructure. This is usually done by metal manufacturing industries with a superior level of quality control, steadfast inspection, and advanced machinery to locate any flaw in the microstructure.

The high purity and performance industries always need to be in a constant update with newer technologies in the market to make sure the grades with the correct composition are produced.
